The Bruins have been inconsistent lately, which is a familiar story to Pen's fans. They're also second from the bottom in killing penalties (though the Pens are trying hard to catch them).
The Penguins, for their part, have been unable to put the puck in the net with any kind of regularity. They've scored more than three just once in the month of December. When they get good play from between the pipes, that's okay. When Sabourin struggles, things get ugly in a hurry. Lately they've been ugly.
The Pens need a better effort than the one they showed on Tuesday in New York. I'm betting they'll come through.
