Game #30 - at Philadelphia Flyers

Pittsburgh Penguins (15-12-2, 32 pts) at Philadelphia Flyers (15-10-2, 32 pts)

Don't look now, but the Pens are within three points of first place New Jersey in the Atlantic. The dangerous thing is that they're closer to the bottom of the division than they are to the top. The Islanders are sitting with 30 points in last place. The Atlantic is currently the most competitive division in hockey.

The Flyers opened the season 6-0 at home, but are 0-3-2 since then, and Biron has been shaky in those games. The weakness appears to be that the Flyers allow a bunch of shots. That's how Biron can have an excellent save percentage (.924) and a not quite as excellent GAA (2.61).

For my part, I'm just hoping the Pens can get the win tonight so none of those Flyers fans can go through the holiday season holding out hope of a revenge sweep on the part of the Flyers.

The game is on Versus, which is to say, the announcers will likely be poor and the camera work will likely be worse.

Flyers blog - eager to go psycho
There aren't many Flyers blogs out there, so I'll point you at this one. Kristin is looking forward to booing Sid. I'm looking forward to missing Hatcher (he's not playing, right?)

Let's Go Pens!
