Pittsburgh Penguins (11-11-2, 24 pts) at Toronto Maple Leafs (9-11-6, 24 pts)
The Leafs and Pens have split two games this year. Each team won on the road. The Pens will look to continue that trend tonight. If they win, they'll be over .500 for the first time since they were 7-6-1 back on November 5th.
The Leafs were in a big skid until Thursday when they won in Atlanta. Even with that win, they've lost 7 of their past 9. They've been really inconsistent recently, both offensively and defensively. It looks as though they're allowing the opposition to dictate the style of play, and they're paying for it. Look at their shot totals in the last 5 games, four of which they lost - 32, 19, 26, 46, 25. The only game they won was the last one.
No time to put up a link to a Leafs blog this time. One more game this year against our friends to the North, so I'll catch them then.
Let's Go Pens!
