The Penguins have traded Steve Poapst to the St Louis Blues in exchange for RW Eric Boguniecki. Boguniecki is a small, quick player. He's only played nine games in the NHL this season, but he was hurt earlier in the year. In his only full season in the NHL, he scored 22 goals and had 27 assists in 2002-2003. He's played on the power play as well. Seems like a good value for Poapst, who was a bit older and somewhat slow.
No word on whether Boguniecki will be in the lineup tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised.
