Caron was sent down today to Wilkes-Barre. On one hand, I think this is crap. On the other hand, under the new CBA, a player does have to clear waivers again before you can recall him. I think Thibault would be a much more likely candidate to be claimed on the way back up.
Having said that, this really isn't very fair to Caron, who has easily been the second-best goalie we've had this year.
What really screwed the team and forced this move was Thibault refusing the conditioning assignment to Wilkes-Barre. That set the dominoes in motion.
