The Pens took their first OT loss of the season. The Blackhawks had some chances, but the Pens had more of them (and better ones, I think). The Pens just couldn't capitalize on those chances due to bad bounces, bad goal posts and good goaltending by Niemi. Fleury made some great saves to keep the score at 1-0. Letestu played a great game, winning the key face off that allowed the Pens to tie the score late in the third.
Who scored?
Staal (8)
Any surprises?
I thought for a while that this would be the best offensive performance that ended in a shut out that I'd ever seen. After scoring the goal late in the third, I'm most surprised that the Pens didn't win.
Any change in the standings?
Yep - Washington won while the Pens lost in OT, so the Pens fall back to 2nd in the East.
Division: 1st (2 points ahead of New Jersey)
Conference: 2nd (1 point behind Washington)
League: 3rd (1 point behind Washington)
Notes:
Who's next?
Carolina on Monday night in a rematch of the Eastern Conference Finals from last year. Too bad Carolina has been horrible so far this year.

Notes:
- The Blackhawks have something the Pens don't - a third superstar signed long term. Of course, you couldn't ever get me to trade Sid and Geno for Kane and Toews.
- Speaking of Sid, wouldn't you have loved to see him in the game?
- Blech - this was a winnable game if they were able to capitalize on a few bouces.
